    I remember there were so many around when I was a kid. I barely see any of them now. It’s honestly one of the most depressing things

    I’ve thought about this a little, but…, how much good would it be for me to purchase a swarm or a swarms every now and then… to grow the population in my Westend/Westside (Cascade) neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia?

      Filling your lawn with native plants and making it friendlier to fireflies will go a lot further than buying fireflies to live in an area where they have no habitat to reproduce. If you build rewild it, they will come!

      While you might not want to completely eliminate your lawn, !nolawns@slrpnk.net is a good resource for ideas on how to rework your lawn to benefit your local wildlife.
