what is the point here? why to argue over the topic? its a war, its harming everyone, doesnt matter who start, just follow the money, the rest is just afterparty with destructive effects.

and other thing, link is to globsec report, do you know what is globsec? its warmongering companies backed up pseudo non-profit/NGO. Just have a look in their sponsors for their main event (https://forum2023.globsec.org/partners/).

Wew, US DoS, NATO, all manners of Visegrad imperialist stooges. Mainly Slovak ones.

So here you have, your point - when warmongers are publishing data about their war being unpopular despite their own crazy propaganda campaign it means something is maybe changing there.

i have doubts, the rhetoric in the posted report stinks like bypartizan tactics and still presents glorification of NATO/US activities.

Yeah, it’s undoubtedly the idea behing this, especially looking at pretty clearly false results for Poland for example - idk who they asked but a lot of people here do have doubts, and the support for Ukraine is far from universal (it’s only universal in media and politicians but that’s hardly surprising considering how they are the keepers of the polish information bubble) - as you could observe few months ago when pro Ukrianian manifestations were attended by merely few dozen thousands people in entire country. Which for something that was organized and supported by vast array of central and local government institutions is truly pathetic.

But they still admitted that not everyone is supporting their propaganda, something that was unthinkable even few months ago when all antiwar protesters in Europe were proclaimed “Putin’s agents” by media.

they collect the data from various sources, but its a small sample and its usually demografic focused. As you wrote, not acurrate. For me the whole topic is a bit on the edge, who is responsible … Slovaks dont trust East nor West (geographicaly Slovakia is on the boarder, same with minds of people), there are strong lobies from US, on the other hand Russia is deeply rooted in slovak society, both political parties accusing the other to be a “spies”, its funny.

Well you can see that even in USA where reps accuse dems of being Chinese agents and dems accuse reps of being Russian agents, and i think “IF ONLY”.

I guess that it really depends on social circles, but from the people I know, the only ones having doubts about supporting Ukraine are Konfederacja voters. And you just know that they are not doing it for any geopolitical reasons…

I can tell you that most belgians don’t approve NATO/EU move but my country is coward, unfortunately, they barely move for internal affairs, so for international matters, that’s a lost battle.

Muslims and immigration (not the UA one of course, which is the most expensive!) is the root cause of all the malfunction.

Listen, if we were truly sovereign, none of the actual belgian actions make a freaking sense.

I think this sentence have been lost in translation. I don’t say it’s the root cause actually. I mean that my fellow -racists- citizens are blaming them for the situation.

In all other countries, mentioned in the survey (V4, Baltics without Estonia, Romania and Bulgaria) majority of the population agrees on Russia being primarily responsible for the war. This includes 85% of Poles, 79% of Lithuanians, 74% of Latvians and 71% of Czechs.

And there is nothing remarkable about that, the surprise is that any countries in the west are starting to have significant amounts of people who are not going along with the mainstream narrative.

Eh, Putin is primarily responsible for this war. Yes, NATO does outright dubious stuff and needs to reform or disband in the mid to long run, but as of now Putin and similar are the bigger problem.

No, Putin is not the one responsible for this war. Firstly, reducting entire conditions and situation to “Putin want” is by itself completely infantile and should be full stop. Secondly, did you perhaps missed continous USA agreesion at Russia and Soviet Union since 1917 and the catastrophic turn of events after 1991 with numerous escalations by NATO expansion, aggressive manouver, military encirclements and coups/attempts in many countries bordering Russia?

This is what you won’t ever hear in polish media.

Nato does not expand by itself. Countries join because they are fearful of Russian aggression.

What and aggresively placed country, right in the middle of all those NATO bases!

It must be because 81% of armed conflicts in the world since 1945 was either started or meddled in by Russia.

              No wait, it’s the USA.

Did you even read what I wrote? Indeed the NATO needs reforming (they tend to exarebate waay to many issues in this world), but I can see why e.g. Finland wants to join it now Putin and friends are increasingly authoritarian towards their own populace and increasingly aggressive towards nations outside Russia.

Adding “and friends” somehow make that “analysis” even more infantile. Rest of what you wrote is again, pure propaganda identical in polish and USA media, completely ignoring history. Yes, that include “NATO bad also”, very old centrist technique to push leftists into the support of imperialism.

There is no “also”. Western imperialism is the prime contradiction now.

The Russian Federation is currently fucking occupying it, which definitely puts them on the “list of suspects”. Really, trying to keep interacting in good faith with a lot of you folks gets increasingly harder given how much some of you seemingly want to give Putin a blowjob. :P
