Living in fear with constant security has to be better than just treating people better, right?

Bluesky has better lawyers.
You don’t want your encryption keys to be predictable.
Safer, but not safe. That part is important. And vaping didn’t replace as much smoking as much as it replaced not using nicotine at all.
It’s the same phenomenon as road rage. You expect certain actions out of people without communicating, and when they don’t conform to your expectations, you wonder why they can’t just see the most obvious thing (to you).
There are different reasons for each, but very similar feelings.
I don’t personally get road rage because driving isn’t competitive. But I do react poorly to others raging at me (which is also a childish problem I should get over.)
Game specific diatribe incoming. Stop reading now or forever hold your peace.
Partly it’s that I have some unique ideas about how support can be played. Partly it’s that I’m absolutely more inclined to support somewhere else if I’ve lost confidence in my “partner”. Partly it’s that I’m actually bad at very obvious parts of the game, while it’s easy to overlook what I am accomplishing. I’ll take too many risks to maintain vision, for example. People get mad when I die stupidly, but don’t see how they’ve had better than professional vision for the entire game. (Because I take too many risks for it, and bad players are even worse at clearing vision.)
You really want Thread over Matter when you can. Thread is the low power 2.4Ghz protocol, and is my bet for future tech. Matter makes it compatible with any ecosystem. (Functionality may be limited compared to the vendor app.)
But I already have some Z-Wave in my walls, so it’s not completely out of the question.
The vendors, of course, have been slow to roll out actually open tech. I did just get the Aqara U300 door lock, which at least can unlock through Matter.
Have they, though?
It wasn’t because it gets votes, but because it loses votes. People will strongly object to one thing a hell of a lot faster than they’ll give you credit for doing anything. Look at Biden’s entire administration. We handled post-covid inflation* better than any other developed nation, but he didn’t get credit for the 90% he fixed. He got shit on for the 10% left to go.
* And I’d argue a good chunk of that inflation was the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), the bipartisan bill Trump signed into law while rejecting the oversight the Dems wanted. That was the biggest corporate giveaway in our nation’s history. Literally just giving public money to private corporations. A step far beyond “privatize profits, socialize losses”.
Dems believed, reasonably, that Roe was settled and wasn’t in imminent danger. Holding a vote on that just pushes people away. Of course, in hindsight, they should have done it anyway. But as you can tell from this past election, and all the states that went red while passing women’s rights legislation, having the issue out there is not getting them votes.
with whatever’s left
Heh, several of your bullets can eat that full amount.
do not cost anywhere near 30%
You missed some context. Maybe you had issues with the sentence structure. My bad.
It’s not just the swing states he won. He also did much, much better in places like the Bronx, specifically AOC’s district.
The results of other places make it extremely unlikely that there was relevant cheating.
I was on board for the bullet ballot guy for about five minutes until I checked his numbers and found they were bullshit.
This will get deleted because you’re on the .ml instance. Comments here will be carefully pruned to enforce a narrative.
Yeah, there’s a reason for that. One has motives outside of the current situation.
Regardless of the interference, he got the votes.
He should have been impeached in the two weeks after Jan 6th. I’m hoping he keeps over in the next month. I don’t know what President Vance will do, but it’s hard to be worse.
Did you know Bill Clinton is younger than Trump?
I think they’re on https://nebula.tv/ too, if you prefer that to YouTube.
ITT a couple instances acting exactly how you’d expect those people to act.
Heh, I was just listening to the Planet Money podcast today about extreme UV lithography, and how the scientist presenting felt mocked out of the room. Of course this was 2000 or so.
I’m unsure if this makes your point or disproves it. I’m leaning towards supports.
He should have threatened to start jailing Senators as an official act unless they pass a law/amendment saying that he can’t.
He still can, in fact.
I do love it. It’s about time a Democrat fucking did something without constant worry about what Fox News might say about it. You think we were going to win over these supposed “centrists” anyway?
He’s not appointing him to a cabinet position. He’s not making him the Ambassador to France. And the only reason he was having the entire book thrown at him for crimes he did, absolutely commit was, in fact, political.
Fuck former Senator Bob Menendez. That was real corruption. Fuck Blagojevich, he should rot in prison (except that Trump pardoned him). But Hunter’s crimes were pretty minor.
Liberals never actually fix what conservatives screw up.
Clinton fucking balanced the budget.
The real problem is Republican spend 4-8 years screwing everything up. Over the next 4 years, with the slimmest of margins, Democrats roll back 80% of it. Then you come in and say “both sides”.
If we want things to stop racheting to the right, we have to elect Dems more than half the time.
At least she wasn’t in Texas. Might get admitted and still might not get care for that kind of thing.
