walz signed state legislation joining minnesota to npvic. it should be no surprise that this is his position.

it’s not part of the dnc platform at this time. probably because it’s in the state’s hands right now (getting more on-board with the idea via npvic); and a big huge shakeup in congress (amendment-passing majorities) and state governments (enough to ratify those amendments) would be needed to do anything at the federal level anyway.

a few thousand people might attend the local event, but hundreds of millions of people will see it or read about it. they’ll still be yapping about it when they paint new york state blue on the map at 9:01pm eastern on election day.

many proposals have zero cost (or net zero, via offsetting tax credit of at least as much as the health care ‘tax’) for lower income earners. if this guy’s only got 25% being withheld from each paycheck, he’d probably fall under that threshold.

even on their web site you can clearly see the individual single slices of cheese product spread over the top of the mac & cheese in the picture there (it’s found under ‘hot counter’).

pintos were cheap to fix–when they didn’t blow up or incinerate, that is. then, they were at least cheap to replace. i had one, never had issues with it, or with getting insurance for it.

teslas are expensive to fix, expensive to replace, and lead times for either is ridiculously and unacceptably long. cybertrucks would be, by far, the worst of the lot. insanely high cost-to-cover. doesn’t surprise me at all that an insurer is declining to cover them.

i’m over half, and expecting yet another rent increase soon.
