I am a little confused why that handle doesn’t appear to be attached to anything.

You’re closer than you think:
I struggled for years with my cat to get him to stay hydrated. Did fountains, running tap, ice cubes in the bowl – nothing. Then one day, while he was slurping out of my water glass, it occurred to me: Just give him his own water cup up on a table, dumbass. Sure enough, his intake immediately shot up and his little bunny turds disappeared. Would recommend.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I never woulda guessed you were doing so much “on the job” learning behind the scenes. Seemed like lemmy.zip just materialized fully formed, and that is a testament to all you and Sami have put into this instance for us. Thank you!!
Or lobby so their private planes are untrackable.
I agree that the bones are good, if it’s used as a framework, not a formula. I think if someone wrote to each point strictly, you’d probably end up with a mediocre story with a boilerplate MC in a bloated world with a drawn out conclusion.
Still, they’re solid guidelines, just not steadfast rules to a guaranteed great story.
For anyone curious to learn more about the fast-pass system, or who just wants to watch an awesome Defunctland video:
I think watching a couple audiologist videos where they dig out years of compacted q-tip cotton pressed against the eardrum might change their opinion.
Talk about hair of the dog.
Watchmen is kinda like the Mona Lisa. Is it the most incredible painting ever by today’s standards? Not at all, but during its time, it was incredible, influencing artists for centuries to come.
Watchmen elevated comic books from telling stories about boy scout aliens from Krypton to graphic novels about deeper, darker, bigger issues.
If you’re looking to get into graphic novels with a more literary bent, you’ll want to explore the indie scene, I think. I would recommend trying Maus or Persepolis to see if they are more what you’re looking for.

I imagine there’s a level of over-cautiousness, as one misstep (or even a perceived one) and one friendly appellant judge can overturn the whole thing.
I suggest checking out the Keys to the Kingdom podcast to understand how needed this is (it’s also just a great listen):

HMO, what can ya do?
“Jesus, Sarah, when are you gonna finally box train that thing?”
I give this comment 5 Meow Meow Beanz.
I mean, it’s pretty easy to dismiss this desire, but our chain foods in other countries can be quite unique. You can have a burger and a sauna in Finland at a McDonalds. A beer in Germany. Spain’s version of McD’s is insane. And that’s just the arches. Japan has a waiting line at KFC for Christmas because it’s become a tradition. I get why it would be cool to see how what we grew up with differs on the other side of the world.
That’s a fair point, thank you.
When we worry about AI taking over art, there ain’t no AI that can pull that masterpiece off.
Ohh, that makes sense, thanks.
