Don’t worry about a goblin having box tickets to the theater, they were sent to us as part of a mission.

I made a boo-boo and accidentally make the link go to my site, rather than go to the image, sorry about that.

Having fixed it, clicking on the image now keeps you here and expands the image (which is what I intended) - but the fact that I linked to my site in the initial post means the site link exists in the post… which is also nice? Maybe this is the way to go in the future :p

Could always just link to your site in the description. Though it’s interesting that it includes the embed below it after you modified the link.

Yeah, I quite like it like that, because it’s attached to the content, rather than getting lost if there’s a million comments. :)

I mean in the “body” section of the post, where you currently have the text:

Don’t worry about a goblin having box tickets to the theater, they were sent to us as part of a mission.

on this post. Could include a link there, something like “for more comics, check out my site” kinda thing.

Oh right. Yes, I could put it there, but I’m using that for extra jokes and details, and something in my brain doesn’t like mixing that with self-promotion. Everything that serves a different purpose needs its own little place, you know?

I started making content on the internet a little before social media took off, so if you wanted to put stuff online you needed your own site. These days it seems a bit old fashioned, no?

It’s always been normal to me. I tend to get a bit annoyed when webcomics don’t have their own site.

This makes me feel old, but you’re right it is a bit old fashioned. These days though with all the social media fumbles and large scale migrations I think having a personal website could be a good plan again.

I’ve seen a lot of creators advocating for starting and getting ready to run a personal site - given the state of most big social media sites today.

Beats getting randomly kicked/shadowbanned/enshittified by your social media provider. Honestly, I’m just waiting for github pages to get removed. 😅
