Like many others over the past few years, I was following the release of the Profitec Go, expecting to see an increasing user base commenting on such things as modding etc. It doesn’t seem to have anything like the fan base of the Gaggia Classic, and I don’t see many comments on it at all these days. What happened? Is it not worth the extra cost over the Gaggia? Are users simply content and quiet, or have there been some negative aspects of it which have counted against it? If you have had one for a year or so, let me know the good and bad.

Not quite a year for us, but probably coming close. We use it every day.

I think it’s great! Certainly has its limits as a single boiler, especially if friends come over and we all do steamed drinks. But for just 2 people, I think it makes a great cup of coffee. No problems so far, knock on wood. Zero mods, just using and enjoying it out of the box. Tis pretty on the countertop, to boot

In the UK it’s probably just over 1.5 times the price, but you get a brass boiler instead of aluminium, the boiler is a bit bigger, you get a PID for temp stability, an easily adjustable over-pressure valve, a visible pressure guage, precision engineering (ECM I think) plus whatever else is good about it.
