Even if that is personal satisfaction please do not give it to him by using what he built. It is probably not a great idea to potentially expose your data to an unhinged political extremist.
I would not use his instance, but the software is no longer just his. It belongs to the community now.
The software is ripe for forking, too. Lemmy has been slow to update for a while now, and I don’t think there’s any way they’re going to keep up with the pace of development people are going to want or expect.
