As an American, Abdel Jabbar said, he would have expected the U.S. to seek justice for his son. But he says the Biden administration’s support of Israel, including with weapons, and what he sees as a tepid response from the White House to Tawfic’s death make him doubt that his government will act in his son’s interest

Yet ppl here will claim anyone who thinks of sitting out this next election are either stupid or selfish. There’s and entire group of ppl in the US where the Biden administration actively helped murder their friends and family while turning their homeland into a parking lot.

I’m not telling anyone to actively sit out the election (Im voting for Biden and not happy about it) but I’d advise you to be a bit more open minded about ppls reasoning for not being happy with the Biden administration and sitting this one out.

Also this is what you get with a lesser of two evils election cycle every 4 years. A facist and a facist enabler

So what’s the answer then? If we don’t vote for Biden, we’ll have genocide and war here at home, the U.S. will collapse, and even worse actors will kill millions.

Is this the same kid that went into a war zone and threw rocks at the military?

Edit: From the article. Doesn’t matter really if it’s justified. Who throws rocks at military when shit like this is going on? That’s asking for attention.

Abdel Jabbar dismissed the suggestion his son might have been “hurling rocks” as a “lie.” But, he said, even if rocks were thrown in the area, “so what?”

“If they were throwing rocks 150 meters to the street, what is it going to do to a tank? Or to a jeep? Or to a car full of soldiers? You’re gonna shoot the car 10 times because a guy threw a rock?” he said.

He died while on a picnic, if you bothered to read the article.

EDIT: just to emphasize, he was killed by one person who was not even police enforcement or IDF (aka a stinky Settler dressed in military attire) and one off-duty IDF soldier who acted themselves and alerted no one except AFTER the murder. Apparently “throwing rocks” (which didn’t happen) is enough to get you two bullets (one in the head and and one in the chest) by two people who aren’t even on duty and aren’t even qualified. That’s what it means to be a Palestinian.

The West Bank isn’t run by Hamas so why would it be a war zone? Also, throwing a rock, if it happened, means execution and not arrest?

The punishment for a crime is dictated by the society you perform the crime in. So yeah, if the society says that rock throwing is a capital offense, it sure is. Try smoking a bit of pot in Singapore if you need a deeper analysis.

I personally don’t agree with it, but I’m not going to go all colonial and try and dictate my morality.

Sorry, do you think the punishment for being accused by an IDF soldier off-duty and a Settler pretending to be IDF is being shot to death? Is that, like, in the Israli constitution? Because if it isn’t, your argument falls apart… since these people did murder a teenager with no charge, which (as much as Israel fucking sucks as a country) is still illegal.

Too bad this fucking time he’s a goddamn American Palestinian.

Well, that’s another very interesting debate. Are the laws of a country what is written on the paper, or how things actually get enforced? One could say that America’s laws are (mostly) not racist, but how it gets enforced absolutely is, isn’t it?

If throwing a rock gets you shot, and society allows that to happen regularly, then that is the punishment for that crime. You can dislike it, and that society can dislike it, but it is what it is. Isn’t it?

You’re tap-dancing around the point. Killing that boy is regarded as a human rights violation and your opponent wants you to address the crime as one.

As if it would fuckin’ matter which country it was in anyway. Murder is universally banned in all countries. It’s one of the few universal morals humanity has.

The proposed punishment is the one written in law. But if no one ever receives that punishment, then that’s not the punishment, is it?

You’re missing the point too. In fact, by your logic, genocide is legal. Laws are used to do evil things and they’re not the source of morality nor do they dictate right and wrong.

Who throws rocks at military when shit like this is going on?

No one. No one did that. Because no one was throwing rocks.

That being said, the IDF killed at least one Palestinian in cold blood with no justification every single day since early October, and most likely every single day before.

And if he did, like his grieving father said, does that mean he deserves to be shot in the head? To become irreversibly gone forever?

Oh yeah right sorry I forgot, maybe Palestinian lives don’t matter much to those who want to justify Zionism. My bad, sorry, I thought you thought of him or all the people who died as human beings.

        rocks at military

PS: no one there was active military or on duty, one was a stinky Settler. Please sis/bro, read the goddamn article.

At least the coverage is better than the NYTimes using the passive voice to claim he was killed by a bullet but not saying where the bullet came from in the headline
