How does a 1990’s movie become the forerunner to 1970’s "Charlie’s Angels?’

    Quibbles aside, it looks great.

I have a feeling that they’re talking about the Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu starring movie… ;)

Oh, it is great! A bit convoluted, but great nonetheless.

But you do realize that the Drew Barrymore version was based on a 1970’s TV show?

There’s a subtle dig in the first scene when 5 foot 2 inch tall Drew [disguised as 6 foot 3 inch LL Cool J] talks smack about 'T.J. Hooker - The Movie"

Jesus, relax. Everyone gets it. It was a 90s tag line for, checks notes… a B-Movie. That’s part of B-Movie charm.

A badass fantasy-actioner directed by the great Johnnie To. The Heroic Trio consists of:

The always brilliant Michelle Yeoh as Invisible Girl.

The fabulous Anita Mui (RIP) as Wonder Woman.

The adorable Maggie Cheung as Thief Catcher.
