    Summary

    1. Balancing electoralism with direct action is vital for achieving meaningful change. The civil rights movement and women’s suffrage are examples of successful movements that combined social protests with clear electoral goals.
    2. Rejecting voting altogether is not a practical solution. Inaction can enable the continuation of harmful policies and hinder progress towards desired outcomes.
    3. Building alternative systems and solutions requires active participation and effort. Merely rejecting the existing framework without offering concrete alternatives is not productive.
    4. Evaluating the potential consequences of not voting is essential. Failing to participate in the electoral process may result in the empowerment of politicians with opposing agendas and the loss of rights and protections.
    5. Striking a balance between idealism and pragmatism is necessary. While it is important to push for change, it is equally important to work within existing systems to achieve tangible results.

Let me ask, what’s your solution to stopping genocide, if it isn’t voting? Standing around holding a sign? Camping out at the quad at your local college? Is that gonna stop it? I’m serious. How do I stop this genocide without participating in the political process.

You withhold your vote or vote 3rd party to let the Dems know we aren’t interested in 2 right wing parties. Then 4 years from now we can actually get a president who gives a fuck.

You keep voting for dems and they keep moving further right and yall keep saying lesser evil while the lesser evil today is more evil than the people running against them 10 years ago.

What is your great plan for preventing Project 2025 that will work better than re-electing Joe Biden?

And why haven’t you enacted it yet?

First off, thanks for acknowledging that you can’t achieve your goal without participating in the political process.

What happens if in 4 years there are no candidates who “actually give a fuck?” Do you just not vote again? So like in the meantime the genocide that you’re so interested in stopping continues for another 8 years. Do I have that wrong?
Five days ago Biden declared that no bombs will be supplied that can be used in the invasion of Rafa. Do you think he said enacted that policy because of pressure from people he knows AREN’T going to vote for him?

You keep voting for dems and they keep moving further right and yall keep saying lesser evil while the lesser evil today is more evil than the people running against them 10 years ago.

I don’t think there’s any way this statement could be made more untrue. Trump tried to end democracy ffs. You’re delusional if you think Biden is “more evil,” that’s a goddamned joke.

Then you’re mad at your own rediculous delusions.
Hey if you don’t want to vote, then don’t. It’s a free country.
Then when Trump outlaws abortion and throws children in concentration camps you can be all smug about not voting.
