I’m refreshing my memorization of the main guitar solo for Painkiller by Judas Priest and learning the solo for Tornado of Souls by Megadeth
Sorry, I stole his wallet and it just had a pocket lint collection in it. Really varied fabrics in there though, kinda impressive
If Carlin’s ghost has one message for any of us, I’m pretty sure it’s “don’t be fuckin stupid”
Yeah, no. The main point of the multi-player is to get help from allies. It’s only if you get that help that anyone can invade your game in Elden Ring

It’s excellent. Streaming on Max.
100% on Rotten Tomatoes and it deserves it. Season ends on a cliffhanger, so here’s hoping we get more, but even if not it’s worth seeing because it’s so damn well done
Nobody’s saying it yet so I will: Unicorn: Warriors Eternal is phenomenal. It’s maybe just a bit below Primal and Samurai Jack for me in terms of sheer impact but the scope and ambition of the storytelling and animation has only grown since he did those shows. Unicorn tells a truly bizarre tale in an unusual setting with more of an ensemble cast than most of his works. There’s definitely some sense that he’s doing it to challenge himself more. But it still works great.
It’s riffing on sci-fi anime filled with philosophical reflection and nonlinear storytelling, like Ghost In The Shell, Ergo Proxy, Evangelion.
Not saying it’s as great as those or anything, but it’s hard to tell if it will be good by the time the plot wraps up. The animation for the Space Beth fight in (I think?) Episode 2 was pretty bad, though.
Gintama is a comedy show where the plot isn’t super relevant, so jumping in at episode 300 is fine
It’s not a remake. Near as I can tell it’s got a totally original story for the show.
There’s no ethics involved, just exploitation of the Japanese working class.
That’s one of my top shows of all time.
For me, though, the Funimation dubs for Dragon Ball Z, Kai, and Super are the only ones I fully always prefer to the original Japanese.
I gave it a listen the day it dropped. Initial impression is that it’s yet another masterpiece and they have neither slowed nor stagnated, but I really need to relisten to their full discography to contextualize it and give it a proper comparison/ranking.
This advise can also apply to the “Worse is Better” philosophy, no?
We are all our own ghosts, piloting our inherited meat puppets
Gluetun works great for this. It’s a VPN docker container that you can route other containers’ network connections through. Super lightweight and fast
I have one of these that I use as a Jellyfin server. It’s not affected by those problems and has been performing more than adequately for my purposes, after setting up hardware transcoding
