The great scam of American culture is worshipping capitalism.
Us poors have been convinced that, if we put in the “work” we can get the American dream of being rich and popular.
This is reinforced by every single rich person in this country, intentionally or not.
Ask any rich person how they got where they are? They’ll tell you “hard work”, “skill”, “talent”. I e. Lie straight to your face.
They won’t tell you, I got it from my parents, I got it through nepotism, I got insanely lucky, I got by winning the genetic lottery and being extremely pretty.
