When viewing a specific comment, there is a link to “show context” that would show the comment one level up. Now, this link does not appear to do anything.

I assume this was introduced by the latest update.

I’m using the default UI (https://lemmy.world). I tried on both desktop and mobile versions of the website.

I just jumped onto a.lemmy.world and the “parent comment” button, which performs the same function, does work as expected.

It’s all comments, not just one. Well, all the ones I’ve tried today-- not all the comments on lemmy. haha

Those open issues do seem to be what I’m seeing.

So it seems it’s issue from lemmy-ui (the default web UI that you mentioned).

You may need to wait until bug fix or possible solution appears.

However, just to be sure, can you try the other two frontend the listed above, to see if everything does work as you expected?

          • old.lemmy.world works as expected.
          • m.lemmy.world does not appear to have this functionality; it always sends you directly to the comment with all parent and child comments shown.

Good to hear that. This can proves the bug only occurs when using lemmy-ui.

If you have GitHub account and if you want, you can send your findings to one of the issues as a sample for them to fix faster.
