This is something of a measure of how successful the scale-up of renewables has been; it’s now much cheaper to switch to wind, solar, and batteries than it is to burn stuff. Not to mention having the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign, which shows up at state regulatory hearings to point this out.
