Imagine being upset when basic facts and the general opinion of a given profession doesn’t line up with whatever’s on Newsmax this week.

Also just like, it isn’t fun to make people angry for no reason. Either they’re a bigot or they’re an insane person. One I’m just going to piss off by living my life the way I want to and the other I’m more concerned about than anything. Making people angry just isn’t fun.

Though I will admit, I started listening to knowledge fight and listening to alex Jones does make me sorta get it.

Isn’t the title the same as saying “Conservatives refuse to accept facts?”

Worse than that it seems to be “Conservatives blame fact finders for finding facts”.

Theirs is a dead worldview propped up by money and rage. And even drill it’s slowly fading. They can see it, we all know.it, and they’re mad about it. They’re retreating from reality to cope. It’s why they go on suicide shootings. It’s nihilistic lashing out by people who know their time is over and can’t handle it.

Just reading the headline, but they may be on to something. Understanding your body and living a lifestyle that suits you would lead to lower regret rates. If science supports that then I think they may be right.

Blaming the concept of science reminds me of 1984 where the powers that be decided to attack language as a way to control the populace. Double plus good! (I’m a thought criminal, please don’t notice me)

This is pretty consistent in conservative circles. There used to be (still is?) a lot of right-wing outrage regarding undocumented immigrants to the United States, insisting that they are a nexus of crime and a burden on the state, and yet, they actually pay more taxes per capita than the general population and have lower crime rates than the GP as well.

(The GOP doesn’t want to admit that the US likes undocumented immigrants specifically because they can be exploited as a cheap labor source, because usually it’s their own constituents doing the exploiting.)

So it’s not about sensibility or truth, it’s about alarmism and two minutes of hate to rile up their base to vote and keep them in office.

Conservatives also LOVE to forget that most developed nations rely on immigration to keep the population growth steady, which is what props up retirement and a growing economy, as well as the fact that poor immigrants are generally the people who end up doing the shitty jobs that natives don’t want to do but have to be done.

Kick the immigrants out, the economy collapses and there’s no one to clean your office, then complain that leopards ate your face!
