It’s hard to trawl through the app store. Are there any apps or games you’d recommend?

I have a kobo ereader and if you install the kobo app on an android phone you can use your google wallet to purchase books. So I spend mine on books.

I like Diarium, journaling once a day has helped me feel like I’m not “wasting” my days doing nothing. I started out with just 2 or 3 sentences at first, and now I’m writing down frustrating bits, cool interactions, or sometimes still just a laundry list of what I did. It helps me feel like I’m not just floating through life.

I also like using my credit to offset the cost of the season pass in Marvel Snap once a month, but that’s more for just whatever phone game you feel deserves a few bucks now and then (if any).

      • Photo Editor is nice when you want to do some relatively advanced image editing on the go.
      • PSPlay is a great alternative to PS Remote Play that supports a wide array of game controllers, not just the PS4/PS5 controller.
      • Cryptomator for encrypting and accessing encrypted files on the go. It goes on sale once in a while, so I’d wait if it’s full price at the moment.
      • NFC Tools Pro if you like tinkering with NFC tags.

If you’re into mobile games I’d recommend any of the papa’s games. I have cluckeria to go and it’s helped kill time when i don’t have WiFi or a long time to get into something more involved.

In an effort to spend some of my balance a while back, I bought Recipe Keeper. It was $10, I think.

I can’t say I use it daily, but it is fantastic if you do any cooking or collecting of recipes. It’s easy to share a URL to it, it will strip out the pointless blog post and just give you a well formatted recipe; it has a nice scan feature that makes importing printed recipes easy; and there’s even the option to export your own cookbook.

I love it and can’t recommend it enough.
