In this update:

  • Adjusted the way accounts are stored. Now, they are stored using actual account IDs instead of internal IDs
  • Hopefully fixed a few issues logging in
  • A WIP new page for accounts
  • A WIP placeholder for checking your messages

Bugs still present:

  • Logging into beehaw with long passwords doesn’t work
  • There’s still a crash when loading some communities. I attempted a fix, but it resulted in a huge memory leak and the app locking up. If you want to assist with fixing this bug, please come forward 😆

I installed mlem like 5 minutes ago, and have only been using Lemmy for about a week, so I apologize if I just don’t know what I’m doing :)

When adding an account, the first field (Homepage) shows help text of “lemmy.ml”. I am using midwest.social as my server. If I type midwest.social there, login doesn’t work. I have to type the full URL with the scheme (as https://midwest.social) and then it works.

Is it supposed to work without the scheme? If that is just some weird thing with midwest.social, then I guess <meh>, but if you are supposed to type the scheme there too, then I would suggest the help text reflect that to avoid confusion.
