I can only subscribe randomly. Usually when I search for the instance and click the link in search results, sometimes when I click back and forth links.
If I write the url, by hand I just see a “subscribe” text with no button functionality. How can I fix this/subscribe then?

I find clicking to make a post, then backing out of the post, usually causes the subscribe button to correctly appear.
you can also just click the community name to get it to appear.
This is most likely a localization issue.
No changes when using it in English.
Same thing happened to me today, clicking on a post and backing out fixed it and im on default english
If I enter community with link/url the button doesn’t work, even if it was on sopuli. If I click the link to go to community page, the button becomes magically active. (even it was the same page earlier) Reloading page doesn’t help, only clicking the link makes it work.
This seems to be the case. Even the HTML code itself is different (didn’t check if it’s altered via javascript), but it’s apparently a bug in 0.18. Clicking the community name in upper right coner does something differently and the button appears. I’m running latest firefox on xubuntu focal with locales set to english all the way.
OP, can you try setting your browser language to US english? Does it change anything?
