    Polly: You didn’t tell her about us, did you?

    Nick: Who? … Heather? No! … I mean, maybe in passing.

    Polly: In passing.

    Bobby: Oh God, he fucked her. I tried to warn you …

    Polly: Hey, he didn’t fuck her. You didn’t fuck her, did you? … When?

    Bobby: In passing.

    Recently re-watched this and it still holds up. Fun fact: no one smokes in the entire film.

    Fantastic scene when he convinces the cancer-stricken Marlboro man to accept the hush money. Just a gem of a movie.

    I like how he teaches his son that the asignment he is writing about “why america is the greatest country in the world” can be about anything

    Aaron Eckhart is fantastic in this movie. It’s easily his best performance.

    I have an ex-friend who turned out to be a sociopath.

    He LOVED this movie unironically. He laughed at it, but I think he also used it as a reference manual.
