Yeah I remember being taught in church about forgiveness and love. And then taught about Lucifer being kicked out to hell forever, no chance of redemption. It didn’t make sense to me, even as a kid. I think I asked a Sunday school teacher about it and got a nonsensical rationalization.

Probably because the whole Lucifer Story is apocryphic and was pierced together/made up by church teachers. It doesnt fit with the message of the New Testament one bit.

expanding on this, even the existence of eternal hell is fairly controversial among theologians. this is from the page on [Christian Univeralism]:(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_universalism)

The first clear mention of endless misery is to be found in a work from 155 to 165 AD by Tatian.[18] According to theologian Edward Beecher, in the first four centuries there were six main theological schools and only one of them advocated the idea of eternal hell.

Also, most of the Bible is stolen from other religions & spiritualities that existed around before it was all codified.

“Stolen” is a bit of a harsh word, it was normal for the various religious cults back then to influence each other

Dude I’m pretty Sure there wasnt a person going “I’ll steal this from another religion”. That’s not how things go

That’s exactly how it goes. They take from other religions so it’s easier for their religion to take hold.

What I was taught was that because Lucifer and his followers were literally in heaven or wherever and knew God personally, they essentially should’ve known better than to rebel. On earth, hardly anyone has perfect faith, so they get some leeway for not knowing better.

That’s the extent of my knowledge on that and I don’t even believe it, but that’s what I was taught
