    For those uncertain about the timing of military technologies and/or the US Civil War - no, this is not even close to being close to viable.

      The maintenance took forever because it was hard getting the precise parts they need when they’re all made by hand, so they hardly ever flew.

      Obviously! Early photography used chemical formulations with relatively low light sensitivity, and exposure times were on the order of minutes. That’s why you never see fighter jets in Civil War photos, at best they’re just a faint blur, if they appear at all.
