I really like the way Connect is evolving. However, one thing I can’t seem to figure out is how to search for communities. Using other apps like Liftoff and Jerboa, I can easily just search for communities.

Here is an example of searching communities in Jerboa:

Assuming you’re on a recent Connect version, tap on the magnifier icon on the top and enter your search terms. Then, tap on Local if you want to search within the instance, or All if you want to search among all Lemmy instances. Once the search is done, tap on the Comminities tab to list the communities found.

Type what you’re searching for (linux) and then hit enter? I found that it’s one of the weird search bars that doesn’t search as you type.

Ahh that’s new I think. Didn’t see that before.

Not exactly intuitive but it works. Would be nice for a dedicated Community search like Jebora.

This is one way to find communities. Hopefully connecting the Fediverse becomes a little simpler soon…
