Atmospheric conditions affect the release of anemophilous pollen. Zhang et al. use a pollen emission model together with future climate data to simulate changes in pollen emission. The study shows that climate change driven pollen increase and seasonal changes may increase seasonal allergies

These simulations indicate that increasing pollen and longer seasons will increase the likelihood of seasonal allergies.

    My allergies didn’t exist ten years ago, now they hit me all the time. Maybe I’m getting old and this is a thing? I don’t know, but I do know they ruin my day.

    It’s real bad when snow starts to melt.

      Allergies can come and also go away again at any stage in life, there’s no real pattern.

      Get yourself tested to know which allergy you have (sounds like spring pollen which are mostly nuts) and use general antihistamines, they’re pretty cheap even in the US and have no real side effects besides making sleepy (a real bitch when starting to take them, but your body quickly adapts as long as you take one pill a day at least)
