this is very different from what the Trump administration did, where they actively worked to create a loophole for this pollution

      Sure, but also

Trump was a disaster, and cannot win another election. He, and all conservatives for that matter, are an existential threat to America. Biden must be reelected.

That does not mean we must support every decision Biden makes. That does not mean he or the Democrats are immune to criticism.

I would even say that Biden and congressional Democrats have not done enough to limit PFAS production and contamination. This isn’t a new problem, and they are acting like they just discovered it.

      Two things can be true.

Of course. I don’t think anyone is saying that. What pisses people off so much is equating the two or just generally dismissing the good things biden actually does because he doesn’t live up to ideals people have in their head (as if anyone could)

I don’t think anyone is genuinely saying that both sides are the same, either. There are conservatives who want moderates to think both sides are the same, but that’s just a talking point.

There are Democrats who sincerely say that any criticism of Biden in an election year is providing aid to Trump, Putin, et al. They might not support every decision, but they will attack anyone who is vocally critical.

Since 2015 I’ve been hearing all about Democrats and Republicans being the same, and it’s only gotten worse since then.

“Any criticism” being considered dangerous is not what I see at all. I see that when people talk about Biden “supporting genocide” that’s called out as not exactly true and when Biden does something good it’s dismissed outright, that gets pushback too. As it should. Also people advocating for protest votes are considered dangerous. Because they are. This shit gave us trump already, and it’s really ridiculous to see the same kinds of sentiment so strong again.

I think a lot of it is canvassing and not real sentiment, but that shit leads to real sentiment. It’s toxic and should be seen for what it is.

If only there was some kind of federal agency thought could enforce this. Oh well.

They’re literally announcing that they’re going to enforce a requirement to remove them

I won’t be holding my breath for it to actually happen. Most municipality water systems in this country barely function.

It won’t happen overnight; it requires installing or changing equipment. But it will happen over the next few years.
