The company has previously been accused of a “shoot the messenger” strategy in which workers were punished for raising safety concerns.

    Both literally and figuratively

i mean, it’s just a few peasants’ lives. who cares? what’s important is that shareholders and the rich can afford their third summer mansion and support yatchs.

Those astronaunts that are supposed to go up with a Boeing launch must be having severe anxiety by now.

Launch was scrubbed. Again. This time two hours before launch. Privatization of space travel is working out of so well.

Stock prices have never been higher. Rockets are a secondary concern.

ULA is a partnership between Lockheed and Boeing. It’s still a Boeing rocket. And that rocket had a problem scrubbing the launch.

ULA is a whole separate entity though. It’s not part of Boeing or Lockheed directly. And even then it’s main engineering teams are former Lockheed and Rockwell people. There is very little about ULA that’s truly Boeing. And Atlas V is based off Atlas III which Lockheed made on their own before ULA became a thing in 2006.

I too think there’s fishy shit going on with John Barnett.

But Joshua Dean tested positive for Influenza A and MRSA. He died of pneumonia brought on by these. In his case he just happens to be a whistle blower who tragically died of illness at a weird time.

      Edit: He was young

He was 45, not particularly young

His family said he was always healthy and never had been to the hospital before

Healthy people die of infections too. That’s why everyone should take any medical issue seriously no matter how trivial or common it is. Also, just because his family SAYS he was always healthy, never sick doesn’t mean much, men hide that shit all the time, and “tough it out”

All airlines should suspend their Boeing fleet at this point; and if not, government should step in and force them to.

Because everyone knows this dumpster fire of a company will eventually be bailed out by the good taxpayers of this country. Pathetic leadership at all levels.

The only bail out it should get is being turned into 5 different companies headed by actual engineers. Fuck these white collar criminals inserting themselves into companies and then destroying perfectly functional systems and products for the sake of additional profit. But there is no incentive to innovate without competition.

And as a second option? Cool. Boeing, it’s been great but all admin is fired and you are rolled into NASA. K thanks.

Remember friends, it is not about reaching your destination --clearly-- but of the 787 or so Safety Inspections you didn’t make, along the way.
