    It surely won’t cost us any valuable time to prevent suffering if we fill the atmosphere with excuses instead of trying viable things like sea salt spray.

    I get that it’s for environmental reasons, but it kinda sounds like they said “these clouds aren’t white enough, let’s whiten them like our teeth”

      Yeah, the idea is to say “we could lower the temperature by tossing maybe-toxic particles in the air” as a means of creating social permission to continue extracting and burning fossil fuels. It’s kind of a mess though, because it might be the least-bad option if we fail to pull off a phase-out of fossil fuels.
