My VELVET doubles as a drawing tablet when I’m away from the big pen display I have at home. And it can(itself) use portable monitors. I won’t buy just any popular-fad-phone, I want a replacement-goldfish

I remember them being heavily used everywhere by everyone like a fad, disappeared like a fad. I don’t miss them though

For me it depended on the phone.

On my nexus 5 I couldn’t hear the maps navigator unless it was set to that one ‘black lady voice’. That way I could hear it in a moving car with air conditioning.

Then after that I was using a Stylo3 Plus for a few years and that phone didn’t have enough treble for the lady voice so I had to use the ‘guy who sounds like the pod from nAutomata’ because that was the only voice that had a lot of deepness to it.

Now I use a VELVET and it’s on aussie girl voice. Same reasoning again :) ‘to be able to hear it in a moving car’

Sapien//Halo Custom Edition. Spent like 19ish… almost 20 years using the old HEK so it and halo are the only things I normally have installed

The only time I’ve really (objectively) rooted for keyboard over a controller is in Splinter Cell 1, 2, 3, and 4 because those games all tie movement-speed to the mousewheel and that it just seems so natural to have controllable movementspeed.

But those games are like what… nearing 20 years old? Most PC games are bonedead simple to the point where they could just as easily be beaten with a controller and a clever GUI menu layout

Individuals who’ve switched entirely to some adultered mixture as their only source of drinkingwater alltogether, regardless of special occation, are the bigger issue.

Honestly the webpage itself.

The site when viewed from my phone is akin to an actual website and not a slow, bloated, app. This might be the first time that I get to just use the web browser instead of having to rely on an APK because it’s so fast already! (Which is saying a lot because every mobile website I’ve ever tried takes like 12 seconds to do even the simplest things on a thousand-dollar phone.)

This just makes me more excited to see what boost for lemmy will be like

Right now I’m deliberately avoiding anything that looks like a “default subreddit” because I really really wanna bury the past as much as I can.

Luckily a lot of them simply use the icon from reddit so it’s pretty straightforward. --It may be a bit naive to do it this way but regardless I’m still having lots and lots of fun

I do remember that one Accursed Farms channel on youtube that would sometimes try very very hard to find various “full versions” of old floppy-disk shareware demo games. Either by contacting the developers or going on these huuuge rabbithole searches to compile stuff together

I have this cool little portable usb DVD drive that I can hook up to my laptop(or my phone, which is amusing). It is kind of an odd setup but it’s the only way I’ve figured out how to watch them. I guess it’s alright since I just watch everything on the laptop anyways

I’ve been “shrinking” DVDs and all of their extras onto those little miniature 8cm mini DVDs because modern compression got… amazing… and well the mini DVDs they just look so cool!

I know that the H265 files will never play in a real dvd player but it’s just so fun to have a collection of little itty-bitty pocket sized DVDs. Even the little 3 inch jewel cases just look interesting

I want to cry! That’s amazing! Every ‘online billboard//widget thingy’ that I’ve ever used in my life has never let me turn-off the infinitely regenerating news website posts and infinitely regenerating tabloid entries! And most never let me disable the default unremoveable weather widget!

To have a completely empty subscription feed with “no posts”… that’s sooo fascinating to meee!
