Yeah, I have. I wonder if it’s a difference of reservation versus non-reservation? I don’t really interact with people from the reservations, just people that have moved into the city. Really interesting, I’ll look for that video.

I live in a population area with a lot of native Americans, and I’ve literally never heard that before. I only hear a preference toward, “native” or “indigenous”.

I don’t know, I think that makes sense personally. I think a good portion of them are actually struggling with feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness, or at least did at some point. When you’re feeling like that, and you have no skills or intellect, you’ll take any lifeboat out, even if the only thing making you different is your skin color. At that point, the only thing I have, my skin color, makes me better than everyone else.

I mean, while I disagree with his thoughts on animal consciousness, which have been disproven in clinical settings (mirror-test), AI will obviously, at least not anytime soon, be conscious. We’re not even sure how consciousness works, although we are sure that we are not sure consciousness works. Without that knowledge, I posit AI will never become conscious.
