While I don’t disagree with your statement, this is what I was referencing:
The term “boomer shooter” is a playful reference to the ‘Baby Boomer’ generation who were the initial audience for these games.
I don’t think there is any doubt there.
In Straya, mate.

I like the name and it’s memorable but I dont believe FPS were intended for “boomers”, weren’t they aimed at Gen X/maybe early millennials who were the young adults/children in these timeframes? Games weren’t an adulting pastime back then, it was child’s play.
I bet there were a few boomers playing but Gen X would have been the dominant gaming generation.
I can’t believe Gen X have been forgotten again.
"Allow fats to solidify before disposing of them.
Ask your local recycling plant if they process used cooking oils.
Add used vegetable fats to your compost or use them to make bird food. (I’d assume small amounts for this one).
Reuse deep-frying oil and bacon fat where possible."
Paint goes to waste facilities that accept it. Dried paint can go into bin.
I keep some old vegetable oil for application to metal tools that dig in the garden. After washing them, a thin coat and the stickiness is knocked off by the work later. Wouldn’t put in on an axe, saw, or cutting tool.
Doesn’t matter. Seems like federation has issues all over. I ended up joining aussie.zone to check since no one else could bother to help me out.
I deleted all the posts and reposted them with a local account.
You could crosspost your flying fox photos too.
Haha, we posted the same thing at the same time. Good times all round.

This thread is a recent similar situation.
It appears if they don’t show up after X hours, that deleting and resubmitting is the only option. But, you have to check if they have failed to federate manually because it looks totally normal on the poster’s end.
The only way around this, perhaps for now, is to join the instance directly and centralise around your posts. Which defeats the point of federation. Hopefully they fix it. Some instances have increased their federation workers as a setting to clear the backlog but maybe there is only so much work they can do and some are missed.
I just had a 3 hr delay posting to a community on another instance and 4 posts haven’t gone through after 12 hrs to a different community on same instance. One comment missing also.
Looks fine on my end, nothing if I browse the instance directly.
It’s possible from the aussie.zone instance that this reply is also missing.
Ok, this thread turned up 3h after posting.
4 posted threads missing in !environment still. Weird.
This meta thread also doesn’t not appear in the aussie.zone instance when viewing in browser.
@lodion@aussie.zone, I’m calling you in manually to check. Sorry.
Thank goodness Global Warming is finished /s
Ralph Wiggum Beaver: I’m helping.
And Jerboa has multi-account support for other readers.
I also read that you can set up multiple PWA on your phone for each instance if that’s required.
I’ll take a guess.
Defederation issues. Instance failing.
Example: beehaw defederated from the 2 big instances. Lodion, if we use aussie.zone as an example, wasn’t 100% sure of aussie.zone’s future.
Without account migration available like Mastodon has, having more than one account allows the full experience.
Edit: and the point of this thread, creating communities can be limited.
“Fantales”: the cross platform app. Only $4.99.
Cheers. I’ll hover over some things when I get on computer rather than click randomly on mobile.
Can you make this the icon. I know it’s not Australian but that’s how we treat the environment here. Want to see what it looks like, please. Can sort it out later if aussie.zone goes consistent icon styles.
OK, best someone local mods until it’s fixed then.
Can you just add in to the sidebar please:
An Australian community for everything from your backyard to beyond the black stump.
Without looking, edit how? Like the sidebar?
This is an amazing story.
