Why though?
I mean, who is looking at this and calling it an injustice?
Side note: does he get his bitcoin wallet back?

Technically it’s just a targ dewormer.
It turns out that removing targ worms drastically increases your odds of surviving most afflictions and ailments, so it’s a standard practice for the EMH mk I for every issue.
The EMH mk II discontinued this practice but most crew members find him off putting and avoid him.
The New New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she With silent lips. “don’t Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Don’t send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”
It could be cool to get a blue check mark for hosting your own domain (excluding the free domains)
It would be more expensive than bot armies are willing to deal with.
My tinfoil hat is definitely in between this and Facebook/instagram doing the exact same thing at the exact same time.
I can tell when I’m being phished if my password works on the first try
But even then, two hearts? What, is he a Klingon?
I think Postgres could win the MisSql pageant
Snowflake and DuckDB would be up there doing 10 different talents, then Postgres would just stand there and say “uh huh, I do that too” to thunderous applause!
SQLite would win the swimsuit competition but then struggle with concurrent writes during talent show and get disqualified. The judges would always get its name wrong.
Big query would get caught copying Snowflake and bribing the judges. Presto/Trino would require a full team to get dressed for the costume contest and miss the event.
MySQL wouldn’t win any single event, but would get high scores all around for unknown reasons.
MongoDB would be at the front desk trying to convince the judges to let it enter, and while doing that would accidentally drop a suitcase filled with business and government secrets.
When my wife talks me into going to these things I usually have the best time of anyone.
We go to weird ballets and plays and every single time (except for the Romeo and Juliet ballet) my wife can’t get into it but I love it.
I kind of do want to see Danny Trejo yelling at Gollum on the steps now.
Keep all the insults like calling Gollum stinker, just Danny Trejos saying it.
I’ve never really read much of it, but I’ll check it out
Than you for those suggestions, I’ll look into them
I was pretty disappointed on the Canada Post strike coverage all being about how much this is hurting businesses and the holidays.
Tv has weird incentives. They want more connections, and they need to fill the all the time-slots. They think if it’s too boring or high brow you’ll hit a button and watch something else, and they’re deathly afraid of the “off air” banners they used to show.
Plus CBC has to look fair to an increasingly unreasonable right wing to try and appear unbiased, but that’s introducing more bias than ever.
The falls of the History channel and Discovery were in hindsight the harbingers of the end of TV news.
That’s why I like The Conversation, it primarily is by academics and experts. I just wish it was more front page news focused.
I agree with you strongly on that. A lot of stuff feels like it’s optimizing for low cost over quality.
I’m not one to defend Pollievre, I think he is Canada’s worst leadership option, but the fact that Musk who wants to weaken is supports him is not a sign to me that Pollievre supports those ideas.
Pollievre has called out Musk recently too.
Now, Pollivres actions supporting the convoy, meeting with their organizers, egging them on while they called to usurp our government and harassed citizens and stole from the soup kitchen, refusing to comment on whether he would put everything in the table against Trump, the shady dealings during the Conservative leadership race, and his actions under Harper and as finance critic lead me to believe he’s just a power hungry slime ball who will do whatever helps him over Canadians, without any semblance of ethics.
I agree, Canada does not make up a sizable number of immigrants or fentanyl to the US (I think Trudeau said 1%, I’ve not verified this), but the tariffs are just a cudgel to beat us with to get concessions from us.
I haven’t really reviewed roman history since listening to a podcast about it years ago, that anecdote is amazing
I don’t know why we don’t have more movies or mini series about this stuff, that whole war is filled with really clever moves and bonkers strategies.
Maybe I should just read more books on this (same with Napoleon, and Julius Caesar)
That’s the “benefit of a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips”
