You could hold Jim responsible for not putting a stop to his friend, yes, but his whole family has been okay with it for some reason, and kept giving the guy more knives since long before Jim came along, so putting the entire onus only on Jim is a little unfair. Manson is going to stab a hell of a lot more people than Jim’s family’s friend, and actually has some personal friends who are way worse than Jim’s family’s friend, and he talks about how great they are and how he’d like to do some stabbing like they do. And already has his knives picked out and people he’d like to stab, which yes, includes you and me and both of our families, but that’s not fully the point here.
I feel a little silly even spelling it out, but yes, if there’s an election and Manson is in it and seems like he might win, you should vote against Manson. I would think that’d be a pretty universal take but apparently to a lot of people here, it isn’t.
