“Blacks for Trump” = white people wearing ‘blAckS fOr TrUmP’ T-shirts at a ‘black church’ filled with white people who regularly don’t attend church.

The top reason volunteered by respondents in the survey was discontent with the job he’s done in the White House, followed by worries about his age and mental acuity. Third was concern about wars, including his support for Israel in the conflict in Gaza.

Gaza is a valid point, but the rest is just republican propaganda doing its job. Biden has done far more for the average American than any republican would ever dream of. Dems need to shout those successes louder than they are calling trump a felon.

Is it though? Congress approves and funds aid. The minimal and inadequate push back Biden has given on the genocide. As paltry as it was. Was already lauded by house Republicans and their leader as an issue they will campaign against Democrats on. Doubly ironic given how minimal the push back was, and the fact that plenty of congressional Democrats are all in for Israel regardless of what it does. And the fact that Congress is the party responsible. So another side of irony.

I’m not sure how myopically focusing on Biden who couldn’t actually cancel the aid even if he wanted to. While ignoring the Congressional Republicans and Democrats who are actually eagerly funding this. And assisting weather intentional or unintentional the re-election of a fascist and victories for his party. Is going to help anyone. In Gaza or the US. It all seems strangely, suspiciously counterproductive.

The President is a diplomat and our head of state, and he should be negotiating with other countries to maintain or create peace. He basically just said, “Israel, you’re being naughty,” and that’s about it. He could and should be doing a lot more to convince Israel to agree to a ceasefire and a path toward an end to hostilities. Meet with regional leaders to discuss options.

But no, he wags his finger and that’s it.

I voted for Biden last election for two reasons:

        • he wasn’t Trump
        • he promised to get out of Afghanistan

He delivered. Now I expect a bit more, and his actions have been… disappointing. Trump is still worse, but I’m not in a swing state, so I’ll be voting third party this year.
