Hello PCMR community!

On July 13th, we asked the community for your opinion if you would like to change the name of this community.

Results of the Survey :

  • Yes - 28.1%
  • No - 71.9% (winner)

Of the 1,201 responses received, we as a community have democratically decided that we should not change the name from PC Master Race. I am grateful to our community for your input, as this was a difficult topic to navigate together.

      Lol yeah because everyone magically knows the history of your community. And you totally didn’t spend years posting memes ridiculing other platforms.

      Pcmr has always been a community of hostile, cringeworthy and unwelcoming edgelords and this poll proves it. You all keep living up to the name itself and not the excuse you pull out keep it

        My experience on the platform that should not be named was vastly different from yours.

        Sure there are many asshats about, but where on the internet does exist a place without trolls and assholes, honestly?

        Most stuff I saw on there was people sharing their problems, their builds, getting help and praise for their work. Hell, I’ve seen so many comments from people that they own a mix of consoles and PC, criticizing people calling consoles as “inferior”.

        With respect, I don’t think the generalization that everyone in PCMR is like that does justice to people who are sane and indulging in their hobby, me included.

        And you shouldn’t take memes too seriously, I can laugh at them, even if they’re about me 😉

        People like you who come into communities just to demand they change to fit them never are, I wonder why…
