The Trump campaign raised more than $45 million during the third quarter of 2023, it announced Wednesday, easily surpassing the former president’s rivals in the 2024 GOP primary.

The campaign said it has more than $37.5 million cash on hand, with close to $36 million of it designated for use in the primary campaign.

The significant haul came during the months of July, August and September, during which Trump was indicted in Washington, D.C., for his attempts to remain in power after losing the 2020 election and indicted in Georgia for his efforts to overturn the election results there. Prosecutors also brought additional charges in that time frame related to Trump’s retention of classified documents.

For sure. Unless his lawyers are complete idiots, they’re getting paid quite a bit to lie argue on his behalf.

And just wait for the lawsuits from his former lawyers saying he didn’t pay them for their services. With his namesake business org being liquidated, he’s cash poor for someone embroiled in so many lawsuits and campaigning.

But I thought he didn’t pay his lawyers? I think the money just goes to hairspray, show inserts, coke for jr’s cocaine dependency. Ha I’m kidding on the last one he doesn’t care about his kids, just the bangable ones. Edit: he doesn’t pay his lawyers actively.

I think I heard somewhere that all of his lawyers are being paid from PACs and that some of them insist on being paid upfront.
