Wastewater data has become perhaps the best metric to track the spread of the virus in the U.S., but it’s an imperfect tool.

I’ll note that an updated booster came out this past fall, and few Americans have gotten it.

    I was present during the first outbreak in my city and working in a hospital, so I caught it pretty early, hit me like a ton of bricks.

    Second time I caught it was this year. Seems I’m seeing a lot of people out and about, coughing, hacking, visibly sick. And nobody is wearing a mask. I wore a mask after I got better from COVID and people at the store were looking at me like I was a psycho for wearing a mask.
