    This is one of those things where you’d be interested in being a fly on the wall in classrooms in a couple thousand years when they’re teaching that the Amazon Desert actually used to be the largest, most diverse rainforest in the world.

    It’s kind of like how the Sahara was lush and green 11,000 years ago and one hypothesis is that it may have been turned into desert by humans and grazing cattle over an extended period of time.
