Nah, there’ll be like a junior VP or department head paid to take the fall, and the people that actually signed off will wipe their hands and feign ignorance.

Welp better stop eating beans and farting for the rest of my life to help do my part and recoup the damages. All this world destroying pollution is my fault as a consumer, not the producers.

The producers produce so the consumers can consume, why are we passing blame back and forth when both parties are to blame for this?

If the producers don’t produce, the consumers can’t consume.

But if the consumers don’t consume then the producers can still produce.

Because they know that if they lie to you and market the right way they can fool you into buying it. Just look at cigarettes.

Or better yet look at plastic. We need to stop producing plastic. As a consumer unless I literally grow my own food I don’t have any choice but to buy plastic. Literally everything is sold and packaged in plastic. The producers took the system hostage and I don’t have much of a choice as a consumer other then die.

“Well this is highly surprising!”, said exactly nobody.

Honestly this should have been expected. It’s baffling that self-reported numbers are taken at face value

Hahaha, you’re so funny. The emission scandal was about NOx, that’s mostly air pollution and it wasn’t just VW, it was basically any car manufacturer that sold cars with diesel engines.

No, actually they (the conservative party) were blabbing about “jobs” while letting the solar industry die

Meanwhile the Green party literally shutting down nuclear reactors for more coal and gas plants, and of course the debacle of tearing down windmills to do open pit coal mining.

It was never the Green party shutting down nuclear reactors but the conservatives in reaction to Fukushima. One of them even threated to resign if this doesn’t happen. But now they blame it in the Green party because they are populists not caring about the truth.
