    I don’t know about the US, but winters in Europe are getting longer and colder. This winter was bloody brutal.

      I don’t think that applies to Europe in general. Here in Southern Germany, we had a pretty brutal coldsnap back in November, but that was followed up by summer weather in December and then mild winter in January, February.

      One thing, that was pretty universal across the globe for the past months, is more precipitation, because the oceans are so hot right now and therefore more water evaporates.
      So, if you’re in a place where clouds often rain off, that could have definitely amplified the cold.

        Well, winter weather in the UK only ended in early May. It was still snowing in Latvia and Moscow in early may. I had to go to Latvia in January, it was unusually cold there. As well as being unusually cold in UK.
