While I am not advocating harm against Trump, using force – including violent force – to stop active harm against you or someone else is something we all would probably feel justified in if the situation came up, for instance if a crazy guy was trying to hurt or murder your child. The secret service did it today when they killed the shooter (at least i think they did; that’s the current reporting).

Personally, I would wait until Proton Pass has support for filling in names and addresses.

If we’re expecting democrats to fix our broken, two party system, we’re going to be waiting a long time. The left is going to have to work hard and do it ourselves. Democrats are enslaved in a broken system they helped create.

I disagree. Dems have to do better than “vote for our clearly-terrible-but-less-terrible-than-the-other-terrible guy”. Their messaging is bad. The attacking of people who aren’t convinced to vote for Joe Biden is bad. The “shut up and fall in line” attitude is bad.

There isn’t just one alternative. The dems could put up a new nominee. They have 4 months. It’s plenty of time. Biden doesn’t even have to step aside.

Well that feels pretty gross. I get needing a lawyer but damn.

My empathy for them is fading quickly.

The parent(s) did the crime, the toddler did the time. Don’t let the parent(s) own firearms anymore and be done with it. Prison time isn’t going to do anyone any good; the parents had more than enough taken away from them already.

What a sad and unsurprisingly common story this is.

Did they also find that short women have an advantage over tall women? How about lighter women having an advantage over heavier women? How about women having an advantage for having more muscle mass? How about people with androgen insensitivity syndrome? Or XX male syndrome? Intersex people?

My point is people will always have advantages somewhere (and there’s no clean place to draw the line); no two people are built the same, which means you absolutely can have – and do have – trans women (who went through a male puberty) with no advantage over cis women. The UCI won’t even allow those women on a case-by-case basis, which is absolutely 100% transphobic.

An actual solution is to divide racers up by skill class and stop gender segregating sports, and to stop caring so much about who wins, but that will never happen as long as money is involved.

Everyone cries about “fairness to women” and “fairness in women’s sports” when what they mean is “keeping sports exclusively for cis women”; trans women are women, but almost no one cares about fairness for them.

The UCI is also transphobic and doesn’t let trans women compete with cis women.

Unfortunately North Carolina’s current abortion law is 12 weeks. That’s unacceptable.

Right?? The bank already makes money off the money people put into the bank. Now the bank is saying that their unethical practice of stealing people’s money isn’t as profitable as they want so they are going to unethically steal from everyone a different way that they can’t stop or say no to?
