    in the grand scheme of things i can believe this. this is unlikely to be directly denting sales–particularly with stuff like gamepass on the XBox–and it’s actually the cheapest adjusted for inflation that games have ever been. but $70 is a lot to ask. i think the $70 price point coupled with bad reviews have sunk a lot of the worse games that have come out in the past few months–redfall and forspoken both come to mind here

      It just doesn’t really matter if the amount of games available increases even faster, driving down the amount of money people are willing to pour in a game. It would take one hell of a game to get me to spend that much money anymore, otherwise I’ll just dig in my infinite backlog of unfinished games.

    Yeah, no thanks. I’ll continue not buying their showelware then (or only at deep discounts years later).

    Games cost this much back when a movie ticket was a quarter of the price they’re now. I don’t like games being expensive, but I guess it’s overdue.

    Edit: I mostly pirate anyways, lol. I only buy when I really love a game. Also I am not a huge gamer anyways.
