I got hit by a hit-and-run enshitified web with that #dazedDigital link. I pay for measured rate internet so i disable images in my browser. But that page has auto-playing videos that cannot be blocked… fuck me. I wish I could have known in advance to use Lynx for that link.

No worries. I didn’t test the archived version. I couldn’t really expect all those sharing links to know about that… it’s a browser oversight to some extent. I don’t know if it’s an animated GIF or js, but showing animated GIFs when images are disabled is likely a browser bug.
