I don’t want to live on Mars, I want to die on Mars.

I want to make that journey.

You get one life, and going to space, nevermind Mars, is something that so few humans throughout history have ever done, I just don’t understand people who would say no to that.

Like, you could get hit by a bus, or get in a car accident, or get cancer even without the space travel. It’s not like you’re guaranteed safety by living a boring life.

NGL, would be funny if Mars became the human equivalent of an elephant graveyard. You reach a certain age, and suddenly you’re pining, not for the fjords, but for the red planet.

I want to die on Mars.

      Ideally not on impact!

I want to live out my later years somewhere with low gravity (Orbit? Moon? Mars?) so I don’t have to care about bad joints. I miiiight need to make a lot more money for that to happen in the next 40-50 years or so…

I have to say, this episode was hard to listen to. They all seem to constantly scream and the actual information content was interesting, but something like 5min.

They did not come of as screaming to me. There were certainly moments that they got excited, but i don’t think it was overdone. Also keep in mind it is a comedy and informational podcast, so not meant to be educational the whole time.

My friends are not on Mars. There is no internet on Mars. There is no entertainment on Mars.

    etc…etc…

We have been hopelessly, almost maliciously, misled by popular science fiction about the adaptability of humans to space travel and living on planets which are not exactly like Earth.
