The more conservative a government is, the more horrific life becomes for the most vulnerable. This has always been the case. Conservatives do not value llfe the way normal people do.

Teach your children why it is dangerous to interact with conservatives. Speak openly about the immorality of keeping relationships with conservatives. Conservatism is a deadly plague of oppression and there is simply no place in a modern society for it.

Not to distract from the content of this article, but why is journalism so poor now days? Almost every sentence/paragraph in this article says “she was a victim of childhood marriage,” just worded in various ways. I appreciate the background info on the origin of these laws and the the discussion of how widespread this issue currently is, but this article could be reduced to 6 or so sentences without losing any information.

It’s all about the money. Clickbait titles, titles that grab your attention and get you to open the article, drive in more readers. Their sites are plastered with video ads, more traditional ads and the increasingly popular ‘please support us! We’re poor! Turn off your ad blocker or just go I guess’. The length of articles means you stay on the page longer and see more ads.

IDK what you’re talking about but I do know that only Republicans defend child marriage.

I’ve met muslims that would find this act disgusting and I have met christians that would not care. Consider that religion is not the only factor at play. Maybe enforced patriarchy is, which is something the christian south in the US is well known for.

It’s almost like all these religions especially in their fundamentalist forms are tools for (among other things) enforcing a patriarchy. None of them should be humored in a modern society, they’re fucking toxic.

Mate, don’t try and down play the role religion plays in influencing these acts.

Abrahamic religions are especially rife with this sort of sexist bullshit.

There’s a very clear difference between how people are treated in a religious shithole and a secular country.

Just take one look at the USSR and China, then say that again.

Do you honestly see religious dominated countries as leading human rights?

Yes, it’s a good reminder that the faraway places like Iran share a lot in common with Texas.

What do Biden voters have to do with Iran?

And do you make these kinds of messages towards Trump voters when fucked up things happen in North Korea or Russia, both of which Trump is a fan of?
