Every now and then, I see a headline like this and I’m thinking, holy crap, maybe this time around the conservatives will start conserving the planet.
Like a few months ago, there was an article that certain traditional hops variants will not be viable to grow anymore in Bavaria, Germany, which means someone’s favorite beer will simply not get produced anymore. I wouldn’t have been entirely surprised, if a national emergency would have been declared after that.
But yeah, unfortunately nothing so far. I imagine, conservatives don’t get to read such articles to begin with, because their algorithmic feeds won’t include it. Well, and of course, these particular articles are in English. Many conservative Germans only really understand German.
Well, hey be stopped denying climate change and have instead changed tact, to now instill a sense of hopelessness in people. They now say it’s “too late” to do anything about climate change. So…it seems like they just pushed the accelerator and broke off the handle.
